How did you get into MMA?
I came to know about the sport and UFC, during my work in a Laser Disc & DVD shop, when i came across UFC 1 disc and since then i was hooked with the sport and became a fan.
What is your martial arts background?
I have trained some tae kwon dos before getting involved with grappling, I’m Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Practitioner, I have. represented the sport and Kingdom of Bahrain in several International and local events in BJJ competitions, in Brazil such as Rio Open and Sao Paulo, and Abu Dhabi World Cup and Wolrd Pro, Emirates Open Cup and Saudi Arabia Open.
Why do you officiate MMA?
I started helping as an organizer and then became inspector/timekeeper during the first MMA events in my country, then i decided to get a proper training as an official to help & develop the sport in my country and the region.
What is your career background?
I have worked in Airline & aviation business for around 20 years, currently i am the head trainer and owner of MMA Training Academy (HMA MMA) in Bahrain, it is a school for MMA officials and training, specialized in training in new entry level officials in Arabic language,
What do you do on your time off?
Besides Training and looking after my Academy, i love travelling and discovering new places.
